{"id":2693,"date":"2022-09-25T19:53:47","date_gmt":"2022-09-25T14:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/citizenzvoice.com\/?p=2693"},"modified":"2022-09-25T19:53:47","modified_gmt":"2022-09-25T14:23:47","slug":"vigilance-arrest-clerk-demanding-bribe-of-rs-1-lakh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citizenzvoice.com\/?p=2693","title":{"rendered":"Vigilance arrest clerk demanding bribe of Rs 1 lakh"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Vigilance arrest clerk demanding bribe of Rs 1 lakh<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Citizenz voice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chandigarh September 25, 2022: Aiming to eradicate corruption in the state the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested a Clerk Kirandeep Singh, posted at Municipal Committee, Sunam, district Sangrur while he was demanding a bribe of Rs 01 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau (VB) said the above-mentioned Clerk has been arrested on the complaint of Pawan Kumar, a resident of Sunam city.<\/p>\n<p>He informed that the complainant has approached the VB and alleged that he had applied in the Municipal Committee to get the approval of map of a residential building to be constructed on his plot but the said clerk was demanding a bribe of Rs one lakh in lieu of getting clearance of his file.<\/p>\n<p>After verifying his information and the evidence procured, the VB registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act at VB Police Station Patiala and arrested the accused clerk.
