Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himansu Aggarwal IAS held a meeting with officials here today to review the progress of Mission Abad 30, Project Kitab and Project Mera Pind Mera Jungle.
During the meeting, he said that three libraries have already been established in the district under the Project Kitab and the construction work of four more libraries is in progress and will be started soon.
Similarly, while reviewing the Mera Village Mera Jungle campaign, he instructed all block development and panchayat officers to complete the work by September 30 in the villages where the work of planting trees has not been completed. He said that under this campaign, mini forests are being planted in 75 villages dedicated to the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence with Mianwaki technique.
Apart from this, he said that during the camps in Mission Abad 30, the demands of the people for joint works were put and projects should be prepared accordingly.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Development Mr. Sandeep Kumar IAS instructed the department officials on this occasion to prepare and submit the estimates of all the projects under Mission Abad 30 by Friday.
Various officials including District Development and Panchayat Officer Mr. Sukhpal Singh, Executive Engineer Panchayat Raj Mr. Rajes Grover were present in the meeting.
